Local attorney Philip DeBerard IV was recently honored by the Okeechobee Sheriff’s Office for his service to the community.

This Monday his efforts were honored by Sheriff Noel E. Stephen at the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office. “Your father would be proud as you carry the same tradition and care for our community as he did. There isn’t a time that you have been asked to partner with our agency that you have ever not; we appreciate your dedication to the Okeechobee Community and our office. We wanted to give you a small token of gratitude to acknowledge that dedication,” said Sheriff Stephen to Mr. DeBerard. The appreciation award was given for the years of dedicated service to the community by the office of Philip DeBerard, Injury Attorney.

The firm of Philip DeBerard, Injury Attorney has been giving back to the Okeechobee community throughout the forty-year history of the firm. The late Mr. DeBerard loved presenting the “Student of the Month” award to Okeechobee High School students and was particularly proud of starting the Okeechobee Bike Rodeo in the 1990s.

Philip IV follows in the footsteps of his father and last year stepped in when the Halloween Extravaganza was canceled due to the dissolution of the previous sponsor. He helped coordinate the continuation of the event alongside the Rotary Club. Child safety has long been a focus of the DeBerards. These days, whenever the Okeechobee Sheriff’s office sees a need for bicycles or helmets, the firm is happy to lend a hand. Philip DeBerard, Injury Attorney is proud to support the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office’s Bicycle Rodeo coming this summer!
