About SR 608 in Florida

The 0.57-mile State Road 608 or SR 608 in Florida, also known locally as St. Lucie Boulevard, is an east-west street that serves north of Fort Pierce in St. Lucie County. The route’s western terminus is State Road 615, and its eastern terminus is an intersection with U.S. Route 1 (SR 5), just one block west of Dixie Highway (County Road 605) in the Hunt Subdivision. This road originally extended westward another 3 miles, ending at Kings Highway or State Road 713, a frequently traveled two-lane road that connects Florida’s Turnpike with U.S. Route 1. Currently, it is now County Road 608, serving the St. Lucie County Airport.

Florida State Road 608 Accident

Motorists tend to drive fast on highways and may feel overconfident in their driving ability, sometimes causing them to drive recklessly or negligently. When a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed crashes or collides with another vehicle, the momentum of the crash can make the wreck extremely devastating. When the road has no tall lane divider or median, a head-on collision at high speeds may occur when someone drives the wrong way or crosses the centerline.

The possibility of being involved in an accident on SR 608 and on any other roadway can significantly decrease when drivers adhere to traffic laws. If another driver is not careful on the road, even the most careful driver can be involved in an accident. When this occurs, the person injured in a highway wreck may pursue compensation against the negligent driver.
