The Florida Highway Patrol is reporting tonight that Keziah Hodges, 15, of Fort Pierce, was killed today in an automobile crash. The accident occurred at North 39th Street And Avenue D in Fort Pierce at 1:00 PM.

The FHP states that Jaylan Sheppard, 17, of Vero Beach, was driving a Honda Accord westbound on Mariah Circle approaching North 39th Street. At the same time, a Dodge Ram, drive by Antonio Presutti, 49, of Fort Pierce, was heading south on North 39th approaching Mariah Circle. Sheppard failed to obey a stop sign before entering 39th Street, subsequently, Sheppard’s vehicle collided with Presutti’s pickup.

In the crash, Sheppard’s two passengers were seriously injured, one fatally. Keziah Hodges was killed and Josie Sanders, 17, of Fort Pierce, was seriously injured. Both were rushed to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center. As to Sheppard, he incurred serious injuries. Presutti, too, suffered serious injuries and is also at Lawnwood.

The accident remains under investigation.
