The Florida Highway Patrol reports that Heidi Solis-Perez, 33, of Stuart, was traveling southbound on I-95 north of Indiantown Road in Palm Beach County Saturday. She was driving a 2001 Mercury Villager with seven passengers. At the same time, Sharwen Pierre Louis was traveling southbound on I-95 in the center lane in a 2012 Kia Sorento. Solis-Perez’ car suffered a tread separation causing her to lose control.
Solis-Perez’car veered to the left and struck the concrete barrier wall. Solis-Perez’ vehicle then spun off the wall back into the southbound lanes into the path of Pierre Louis. Pierre Louis’s car then hit the right side of Solis-Perez’ car with the front of her vehicle.
The resulting wreck killed six people, five in the same family. The dead are Macareo Julian-Solis, 14, Marillany Julian-Solis, 5, Alexander Julian-Solis, 7, Sandy Julian-Solis, 17, and Andres Perez, 18. All were from Stuart. Another passenger, Reynaldo Diaz, 31, of West Palm Beach, was also killed. Seriously injured was another Perez family member, Daisy Julian-Solis, 11, as well as Heidi Solis-Perez herself.
Sharwen Pierre Louis is being treated for minor injuries.

Investigators are still trying to determine how many victims were ejected from the vehicle and if anyone was wearing seatbelts. Three of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Two victims were pronounced dead at St. Mary’s Hospital and one was pronounced dead at Delray Medical Center. The southbound lanes were closed for the investigation and opened at 3:00 AM. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
