The Accident Law Offices of Philip DeBerard has been recognized by the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) for creation of an outstanding community service project.  The prestigious Image Award was presented to Robin Delgado, the firm's Community Relations Coordinator, at FPRA’s annual meeting in Orlando.

The Image Award honors the law firm for designing and implementing the very successful educational program SOS Signing on For Safety -- and for getting maximum media attention for the project without spending a lot of money on it.   SOS Signing on For Safety is a free program that gives parents a new way to help their teenagers become safer and more responsible drivers.  The key element to the program is a teen “driving contract” that that encourages parents and their teen drivers to agree on “house” rules to govern the teen’s right to drive.  The contract gives parents a format for an open discussion with their teenage drivers about what is expected of them before they get behind the wheel. Together, they decide what the consequences will be if the rules are broken.

SOS Signing on For Safety is being used by numerous community organizations, including C.O.R.E., the Treasure Coast Driving School, St. Lucie County Public Schools, and the Treasure Coast Safety Council.
