This is an update: It is our sad task to report that Jeanie Yarrington and Brian Mull have both passed away.

Original report: The Florida Highway Patrol is reporting that three people were critically injured yesterday when the vehicle they were in left the roadway, collided with a fence, became airborne, and traveled over a canal.

The FHP says the accident happened on County Road 512 (Armory Road) and Fellsmere Farm Road in Indian River County.

Authorities state that the driver of the vehicle, David Yarrington, 33, of Fellsmere, failed to observe the stop sign at the intersection of Fellsmere Farm Road and CR-512. His car proceeded to run off the roadway and eventually came to rest in a canal.

While Yarrington suffered only minor injuries, Jeanie Yarrington, 32, of Largo, is in critical condition. A second passenger, a young boy of four, David Yarrington, is also in critical condition. A toddler, age one, Brian Mull, is also in critical condition.

We will have more information on this as it becomes available.
