Harold Firestein Killed in Multiple Car Crash on I-95 in Palm Beach Gardens

The Florida Highway Patrol and the PalmBeachPost.com report that Harold Firestein was killed yesterday in an automobile accident on northbound I-95 near PGA Boulevard in Palm Beach Gardens. He was 83 and a resident of North Palm Beach. He was not wearing a seat belt.

Investigators state that Firestein was traveling northbound on I-95 when for unknown reasons, the Toyota Solara he was driving veered off the roadway and struck a Kia Sol driven by Pedro Rosario Diaz, 46, of Port St. Lucie. While Diaz suffered only minor injuries, his passenger, Jose Gonzalez, 56, also of Port St Lucie, incurred serious injuries. Two other passengers in that same car also suffered minor injuries.

Firestein was pronounced dead at the scene.
