Saint Desty Killed in Single Vehicle Crash on Southbound I-95 North of Okeechobee Blvd. in West Palm Beach

In an official Florida Highway Patrol Press release, the FHP reports that Saint Surin Desty, 76, of Delray Beach, was killed Saturday afternoon in a single vehicle crash.

The accident occurred on Southbound I-95 north of Okeechobee Boulevard in West Palm Beach.

The investigator states that Lionel Mascille, 53, also of Delray Beach, was driving a Nissan Pathfinder while towing a trailer loaded with sod. The trailer began to fishtail, causing Mascille to lose control of his vehicle. The Nissan went off the roadway and overturned. His passenger, Desty, was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
