The PalmBeachPost reports that Allan Dessner, 78, of Suburban Lake Worth, was killed Tuesday afternoon in a five car chain reaction accident that happened on Forest Hill Boulevard.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office told the Post that charges are pending against a Palm Tran driver involved in the wreck. He is identified as a 36 year old resident of suburban West Palm Beach, James Pierre-Louis. Authorities say he failed to stop at a red light, subsequently striking Dessner’s 2016 Lincoln.

Four other eastbound vehicles became involved in the collision after Dessner’s vehicle was struck. Their drivers suffered only minor injuries. Pierre-Louis was unharmed. Dessner was pronounced dead at the scene.

We at Philip DeBerard Injury Attorney wish to express our condolences to the friends and family touched by this tragedy. A senseless accident like this one seems to happen at anytime without any warning.
