Bicyclist David Kaoline Killed in Truck Crash on 45th Street in Vero Beach

According to TCPalm.com, bicyclist David Lee Kaoline, 24, of Vero Beach, died Thursday morning when he was struck by a truck. The accident occurred in the Vero Lago subdivision of Vero Beach.

The Florida Highway Patrol stated that Kaoline left his home pedaling on 45th Avenue near 56th Lane mid-morning on Thursday. Timothy Norman, 37, of Cape Canaveral, was driving his truck northbound on 45th. The FHP says he failed to observe Kaoline before colliding with him.

Kaoline was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Indian River County Fire Rescue.

The accident remains under investigation. We will have more information here as it becomes available.
