Wptv.com reports that the woman who died of tiger injuries at the Palm Beach Zoo on Friday has been identified. Her name is Stacey Konwiser, 38, who was a tiger expert and in fact Lead Keeper of tigers at the zoo. The accident is said to have occurred in the tiger night house while Stacey was performing normal duties.

The animal is as yet unidentified though it is said to be a Malayan tiger. The animal was tranquilized during the attack, rather than being taken down immediately by lethal fire. The tragedy is under investigation, with more information to be released later.
