According to the Florida Highway Patrol, and ThePalmBeachPost.com, Teri Hayslip, Lori Hayslip, Joshua O’Bryant, David Mullin Jr., and Jorge Luis Green were all seriously injured in a multiple vehicle crash this morning on the Martin Highway near Boatramp Avenue in Martin County. A total of four vehicles were involved.

The FHP says the accident was caused by careless driving and that they have charged her with such. They note, too, that the driver of the offending vehicle,  Terri Hayslip, was not wearing a seat belt, nor were her passengers, one of which, Lori Hayslip, is just 11 years old.

As the troopers report it, Terri Hayslip was traveling eastbound on the Martin Highway . Three other vehicles were stopped ahead of her. Hayslip failed to recognize that traffic had stopped, and she was unable to avoid crashing into the first car. Her car collided with David Mullin Jr.’s vehicle, which caused his car to crash into Jorge Luis Green’s car. Green’s car then crashed into Timi Lynn Streiter’s car.

The injured were all residents of Palm City or Port St. Lucie. They were transported to either Lawnwood Medical or Martin Memorial South.

We at DeBerard Injury Attorney would like to extend our condolences to everyone touched by this tragic accident. As injury attorneys we know that a serious injury from an automobile accident can have consequences that may last a lifetime.
