Stephen Stradley Killed in Automobile Crash on County Road 606 In Vero Beach

The Florida Highway Patrol reports that on Monday night, Stephen Stradley, 28, of Vero Beach, was killed when he failed to stop at a stop sign in Indian River County.

Stradley was driving a 2012 Kia southbound on 66th avenue north of County Road 606, also known as Oslo Road. At the intersection of these two roads he failed to stop at the stop sign. James McCoy, 17, also of Vero Beach, was attempting to turn at the intersection when Stradley’s vehicle came through.

The resulting crash was particularly violent, with Stradley’s car overturning and Stradley being thrown from his vehicle. He died at the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. We will post further news when it becomes available.
