CBS12.com states that Roy Gentilquore, 57, was killed Saturday morning when his 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt collided with the rear end of a Toyota Corolla driven by Deshayna Shakes. Investigators say Gentilquore was traveling at an excessive speed.

The accident happened in the 100 block of Southwest Port St. Lucie Boulevard. Both cars were headed east on the Boulevard. After Gentilquore’s car struck Shakes’ vehicle, it went airborne and rolled when it hit the ground. Gentilquore was rushed to St. Lucie Medical Center but was pronounced dead sometime later. Shakes has injuries but non-life threatening ones.

The Port St. Lucie Police Department continues to work on investigating the accident.

We at Philip DeBerard Injury Attorney wish to express our condolences and sympathy to all those connected with this accident. A crash like this can have an impact on friends and family for years to come.
