Marilena Plaza Killed In Car Crash by Hit and Run Driver on Martin Avenue in Greenacres

Palm Beach County Hit and Run LawyermyPalmBeachPost.com reports that Marilena Plaza, 18, was killed Wednesday night in a hit and run car crash on Martin Avenue in Greenacres in Palm Beach County.

Plaza, a resident of Greenacres, was a passenger in a Honda CRV near the intersection of Martin Avenue and First Street. The vehicle was being driven by 39 year old Carmen Zoraida Rosa when it was struck. Although Plaza was rushed to St. Mary’s Medical Center, she died there of her injuries.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 19 year old Hector Calderon in connection with the accident. Police say he was driving the stolen Toyota Camry that ran a stop sign and collided into the Honda.

Charges of DUI manslaughter are pending. Blood-alcohol test results are waiting completion. We will have more information here as it become available.
