Bicyclist and Toddler Ashten Dowling Killed In Car Accident at Mobile Home Park in Martin County

Martin County Bicycle Accident LawyerAccording to an official Florida Highway Patrol press release, Ashten Drew Dowling, 5, of Indiantown was killed Friday afternoon when he was backed over by a pickup truck while riding his bicycle at a mobile home park.

The accident happened at the St. Lucie Mobile Village at 11500 SW Kanner in suburban Martin County.

FHP Trooper Mark Steele reports that Ladi A. Hernandez-Perez, 18, also of Indiantown, was backing up a 2007 Dodge Ram pickup out of a driveway when he struck the child.

Ashten was rushed to Martin Memorial South where he was pronounced dead at 3:31. The accident remains under investigation, however, the FHP states harges are pending.
