Anna Preston’s Hit and Run Driver Identified by a Car Reporting System

Dec 6, 2015 Posted by in Auto Accident, Car Accident reports that last Monday Anna Preston told police in Port St. Lucie that that her car was struck by a black colored vehicle in the 500 block of Northwest Prima Vista Boulevard. The offending vehicle left the scene without the driver giving identification. Preston suffered back pains and was taken to a nearby hospital.

A police investigation revealed that Cathy Bernstien was the driver. Her car actually phoned in an accident report to police dispatch when the vehicles collided. Bernstien initially denied any responsibility but later reversed herself, admitting to the fact that she had been the driver. Police determined that when the accident occurred, Bernstien was fleeing from another accident that she had just been involved in. She has now been jailed.
