Pedestrian William Lubo Killed By Car in Lake Worth Accident

William Salvador Lupo, 62, of Lake Worth, was killed yesterday when he was struck by a car while trying to cross South Congress Avenue (SR-807) at 2nd Avenue in Lake Worth.

The driver of the 2007 Dodge pickup, Tony James Roe, resident of Riviera Beach, suffered no injuries, nor did any of his passengers. The accident happened at 10:05 p.m. local time.

Lupo was transported to the Delray Medical center where he was declared deceased. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, alcohol did not play a part in this accident with regard to the driver. It is unknown at this time if alcohol had anything to do with William Lupo.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
