Hialeah resident Pastor Montpeller was killed in an automobile accident in Montura Ranch in Hendry County Saturday afternoon, according to floridanewszap.com and the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident happened in Montura Ranch at the cross streets of N. Mayoral Street and Bald Cypress Avenue on August 8th.
72-year-old Pastor Montpeller died at the scene when his Toyota Tacoma was hit by a 2014 Ford Mustang driven by 30-year-old Dustin Elirobert Hall, of Clewiston. It is reported that Hall did not stop for the stop sign at the intersection of Bald Cypress and N. Mayoral.
The collision was violent enough that the Montpeller’s truck was flipped over and landed upside down.
Hall was transported to the Hendry Regional Medical Center, suffering major injuries.
There were also minor injuries suffered by the other passengers in the Mustang. Clewiston residents 24-year-old Christian Rivera, nine-year-old Wilson Rivera and 13-year-old Lizzy Rivera, were all transported to Hendry Regional.
It is reported that both drivers and all passengers were wearing their seatbelts when the accident occurred.
News sources say that the FHP continues to investigate the crash and that charges are pending.
We at DeBerard Injury Attorney sympathize with all those affected by this terrible incident. We also hope that everyone injured will recover quickly from their wounds.
