Number two is Broward County, with 160 crash deaths.

There were 2,400 fatal car crashes in Florida in 2011, the most recent year complete statistics are available.

  2. Broward – 160 deaths
  3. Hillsborough – 151 deaths
  4. Orange – 129 deaths
  5. Palm Beach – 113 deaths
  6. Pinellas – 112 deaths
  7. Polk – 92 deaths
  8. Duval – 90 deaths
  9. Volusia – 85 deaths
  10. Lee – 75 deaths
  11. Brevard – 72 deaths
  12. Seminole – 48 deaths

Nationally, car crashes claim approximately 400,000 lives every year. Every day, approximately 115 people will die in a motor vehicle accident.
